Holiday Wish List 2013
For more than 20 years, Rose Brooks Center has hosted the Holiday Store to collect gifts for the women and children in our emergency shelter. Holidays are difficult for families struggling with domestic violence, especially for those families who have had to leave their homes to escape violence. In many cases the women do not have the money to purchase gifts for their children – even if they do it’s not safe to go to the store. Your support of the Holiday Store ensures every woman and child has a special and memorable holiday season.
All donations received through the Holiday Store are set up for a special “shopping” experience for our residents during the holiday season.
We ask that all gifts come new and unwrapped.
$25 = Transportation for a woman to get to work for a month.
$50 = A week of meals for one shelter family.
$100 = One day for a woman and child staying in the Emergency Shelter includes therapy, case management, safe haven, food, clothing and other personal care items.

Due to the overwhelming support from the community during the holiday season, Rose Brooks Center is not currently accepting donations at the shelter that do not meet our current urgent needs. If you have new or gently-used goods you wish to donate that do not meet our current urgent needs, Rose Brooks Center encourages you to take your items to your local Goodwill Store. We have a wonderful partnership with Goodwill that greatly benefits the women and children in our shelter.
