An online blog for those helping to break the cycle of domestic violence

Category: Volunteer

Volunteers play a healing role in promoting well-being, and because of that we are very thankful for their volunteer kindness.
Each year the Kansas City community gives so much of themselves to make sure the families of Rose Brooks have a very special holiday. The Holiday Store collects new, unwrapped gifts which are given directly to the families receiving services.
Cabaret, in its 36th year, is Rose Brooks Center’s longest running and most successful gala, supporting families and individuals escaping domestic violence.
Cabaret, in its 35th year, is Rose Brooks Center’s longest running and most successful gala, supporting families and individuals escaping domestic violence.
At Rose Brooks Center, we absolutely love our volunteers. Back in April our Director of Volunteers, Joan Dougherty, wrote to volunteers to not only update them about the ways COVID had impacted our lives, but to remind them of their incredible value.
