An online blog for those helping to break the cycle of domestic violence

In 2023, Rose Brooks Center helped over 15,000 individuals through our hotline, shelter, housing, preventative programming in schools and other services. A remarkable number, yes, but without your gift and kindness, it is certain the number of those helped would be less.

Your individual gift matters. While Rose Brooks Center applies for over 65 grants each year through foundations, corporations, and government sources, it is the individual gift that fills the gaps remaining. As grant funding sources change focus or become uncertain, it is the individual gift that makes the difference. Your gift truly is at the heart of our being able to provide
life-saving services.

Whether you write a check, attend an event, become a monthly donor through our Life Savers program, give a gift of stock, or make a donation online, each dollar makes an impact on our mission to end the cycle of domestic violence in Kansas City. The bottom line? You matter more than you know.
