The Housing Navigator provides step-by-step support to survivors of domestic violence who present to the region’s Coordinated Entry System (CES) for homelessness diversion and housing assistance. This position is responsible for conducting outreach to, and Coordinated Entry assessments with, survivors at Rose Brooks Center, other victim service agencies, and other Coordinated Entry access points.

The Pet Shelter Advocate is responsible for the daily operations of the pet shelter facility and related pet advocacy services for families residing in Rose Brooks Center’s emergency shelter. The Pet Shelter Advocate will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team across programs at Rose Brooks Center. This position works within a low-barrier and voluntary participation program and is responsible for providing survivor centered, accessible, and trauma-informed advocacy to pet owners and their pets residing in the emergency shelter.

The Program Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and provides comprehensive administrative, data management, reporting, and operational support to Rose Brooks Center. This position partners closely with program directors, Development-Grants, Finance, and external vendors.

The Program Administrative Assistant coordinates organizational data collection and reporting, supports quality and compliance initiatives, maintains data integrity and confidentiality, and provides administrative and operational support.

The Prevention Specialist provides violence prevention services in middle and high school classrooms throughout Jackson County, Missouri. Prevention Specialists teach resiliency skills and emotional regulation while working closely with Project SAFE staff, school personnel, and students. Additional responsibilities include developing and enhancing program curriculum independently and collaboratively, maintaining accurate and timely program records, and client outcome reports.

The Shelter Advocate is responsible for providing survivor-centered, accessible, and trauma-informed advocacy to residents of Rose Brooks Center. Rose Brooks Center’s shelter is a low-barrier and voluntary participation program serving adult and child survivors of domestic violence. Primary responsibilities include providing crisis intervention, safety planning, and advocacy to callers on the hotline and in shelter, as well as facilitating services and activities that promote a healthy, safe, and positive living environment. This position supports the mission and values of the agency and collaborates across programs within a multidisciplinary team and with external systems. This position reports to the Shelter Manager.

The Therapist (internal classification: Assessment and Coordination Therapist II)  provides trauma-informed clinical services to survivors residing in our residential shelter. This position conducts domestic violence, mental health, and substance use assessments; provides individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, safety planning, and individualized support planning; and connects residents with internal and external resources to promote safety, stability, and recovery. Working in collaboration with the Supported Recovery Program Manager and a multidisciplinary team, the Therapist provides clinical support and care coordination to address the impacts of trauma, mental health concerns, and substance use. This position reports to the Supported Recovery Manager.

The Therapist will deliver individual assessments, individual and group therapy, advocacy and support planning services to clients enrolled in the Shelter or Housing programs as needed, as well as clients living in the community. As needed, this position will also provide consultation, education and information to other professionals in the agency, and/or other community providers, regarding domestic violence, trauma and mental health issues as they relate to those who have or are experiencing violence in their lives. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Services.
