Crisis Response Advocate (Part-Time) Non-Exempt
Rose Brooks Center, a non-profit domestic violence agency seeks a part-time, non-exempt Crisis Response Advocate, who will report to the Bridge Program Manager. Rose Brooks Center’s shelter is a low barrier and voluntary program. The Crisis Response Advocate (CRA) is based in the shelter and also works in an office, hospital, and clinic environment with limited local travel and must be able to be onsite within 30 minutes of a dispatch call for the Bridge program.
The CRA is responsible for providing survivor-centered, accessible, trauma informed, and culturally competent crisis advocacy to survivors of domestic violence. Primary responsibilities include providing after-hours crisis intervention and advocacy services to survivors referred through the Bridge Program and law enforcement as well as to hotline callers; and providing weekend-hours operational support of the shelter. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to safety planning, preparing and filing Emergency Ex Parte Orders of Protection, operating and monitoring the security system, promoting utilization of the Bridge Program, and maintaining accurate documentation of services. This position will support the mission and values of the agency, collaborate across programs within the agency and within multidisciplinary teams, as well as within systems external to the agency.
