Bilingual Overnight Shelter Advocate

The Shelter Case Manager is responsible for providing strengths-based, survivor centered, accessible, trauma-informed, and equitable and inclusive case management and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence in a non-mandated, low barrier shelter setting. Kansas City, MO. Rose Brooks Center, a non-profit domestic violence agency is currently hiring a Part-time Food Service Cook to prepare, cook, and serve meals and assist with meal planning in a residential setting for approximately 100 persons. This position will maintain clean and organized kitchen appliances, tools and food storage areas. The Food Service Cook provides excellent customer service when serving and interacting with clients and others and will follow agency and safe serve guidelines set by governing agencies. This position must have, or be able to acquire a Safe Serve Certification and Manager-level Food Handler’s License within 30-days. This position reports to the Kitchen Manager. Pet Advocacy Manager

Police Advocacy Coordinator

Kansas City, MO. Rose Brooks Center, a non-profit domestic violence agency, seeks a Police Advocacy Coordinator whose primary role will be to provide survivor-centered, trauma-informed, equitable and inclusive advocacy and safety planning services for victims of domestic violence seen by the Domestic Violence Section of the Kansas City Missouri Police Department. Prevention Specialist

This position will provide violence prevention services to high-risk students in urban core middle and high schools. Primary responsibilities of the position include facilitating student groups in schools located in the Jackson County area, focusing on building resiliency skills and emotional regulation. Kansas City, MO. Rose Brooks Center, a non-profit domestic violence agency, is currently hiring for a full-time Shelter Manager for our mid/evening shift. This position is responsible for providing supervision and leadership to Shelter Advocates in the provision of services for the residential program and callers on the 24 hour hotline and daily shelter operations. The manager ensures advocacy and shelter operations are consistent with Rose Brooks Center’s shelter model of operations, principles of trauma informed care, accessibility, equity and inclusion, quality assurance indicators and targets for outcomes and productivity. The Shelter Manager partners with the Director of Residential Services on quality programming and improvements. This position works collaboratively with other internal staff, leaders and community partners in the provision of residential services.
