Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Calendar
Use our calendar this month to learn about ways to get involved, to educate yourself about the dynamics of domestic violence, as well as ways to use your voice to raise awareness.
What a difference safety makes for survivors and their children/pets.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
10/1
Today we invite you to join Rose Brooks, with a true sense of unity to end domestic violence. Because your voice matters.

Today, we highlight Rose Brooks Center’s hospital-based Bridge Program, as part of our community outreach services. When it’s 2am in the emergency room, Rose Brooks is here.

We highlight Emergency Shelter today as part of our safety and support services. When what you need is somewhere safe to go, Rose Brooks is here.
10/8
Today, consider a gift to Rose Brooks with one simple text. Text DVAM2024 to 41444 and give the gift of safety. Or visit the text-to-give online form below!
A survivor’s voice “in their words.” See, and share, what a difference safety makes for those escaping domestic violence.
10/11
Today we ask you to consider a gift to Rose Brooks Center as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Your gifts help families rebuild their lives, as they walk toward a safe future.
10/14
Everyone can do one thing to raise awareness or help create a safer community. Share a resource. Be a voice. Volunteer. Donate. Not sure what to do? We have suggestions. #YourVoiceMatters
10/15
Week of Action – Talk about it Tuesday. Talk with friends, family, sons and daughters about the issue of domestic and dating violence. You can also educate yourself on red flags of any abusive relationship and what other resources are available.
